How Opera Glasses and Theater Binoculars Came to be
Advertisements were first found for Opera Glasses and Theater Binoculars in London Advertisements as early as 1730 in the form of a long collapsible telescope. The “Opera Glass” as it was referred to; was often covered in enamel, Gems, ivory or other decorations and paintings.
For Almost 100 years Opera Glasses continued as Telescopes. In Vienna in the year 1823 the first binocular Opera Glasses and Theater Binoculars began to appear. They were two simple Galilean telescopes with a bridge in the center, each telescope focused independently from the other by extending or shortening the telescope until a desired focus was achieved, which was useful, yet very cumbersome.
Two years later in Paris Pierre Lemiere improved on this design and created a center focus wheel. This allowed the focusing of both telescopes together. After this development Opera Glasses and Theater Binoculars grew and grew in popularity because of the superior view given in Opera and Theater Houses as well as a beautiful design. By the 1850’s Opera Glasses and Theater Glasses had become a must have fashion Accessory for all Opera or Theater goers.
Today, in modern Opera Glasses, the design Galileo implemented in his first telescope 400 years ago, is still in use today. Although there have been many improvements to the design over the years, this fact has never changed. Opera Glasses offer a front row view, regardless of where you seat is, and styling that is unequaled. Opera Glasses and Theater Binoculars come in many varieties now. There are Opera Glasses with chains, with handles, and lights for reading your program discreetly during the performance. And come in many materials and colors. Today anyone can improve their view at the theater or opera. You may find out how, by clicking on the link below.

Good stuff. Now I want to see Dogsmoke!
I have to agree that Tito Gobbi was great singer. baritone with ringing tenor notes. Hear him sing the Barberr of Seville, such dexterity – great, great, great.
Double bassists ALWAYS share stands the way violinists do. Otherwise, there would be nasty silences when they had to turn the pages.
C’est génial! Merci beaucoup pour ça!
You're going to spend 700 dollars just to see a play?
Man. Think of how much better that money could be spent. Who talked you into seeing it, anyway? You could go to a library and borrow it for FREE. Why do you want to just throw away a perfectly good one thousand dollars or at best, seven hundred dollars.
You remind me of that person in Dylan's song Like a Rolling Stone.

The structural changes to the STFC come as Brazilian researchers prepare to take the place of UK researchers using the twin Gemini telescopes based in Hawaii and Chile.
I have a pair of 7×50 multicoated Simmons which I've always been very happy with. I don't recommend anything of a lesser aperture or power though. In fact, I often wish I had 9×50's but the 7×50's due nicely.
I'm not completely familiar with the various brands as far as binoculars go but I'm sure Celestron or Orion would due. I'd stay away from compact "sport" binoculars and the ones with the tinted lenses and most importantly, try them before you buy. Nothing is more frustrating than a pair of binoculars that don't focus properly for you.
You'd need pretty big ones to see any detail on Mars, and a tripod. With the 7×50's I can see many of the moons around Jupiter, the Andromeda Galaxy, M33, and the Orion nebula, but not planetary detail.

Basically, vlaudre is right, except for the fact that you CAN break a glass with an unamplified human voice.
“Both of us lost sensation in the right leg first, and that meant we both stopped feeling the pain of the opera glasses embedding themselves into the right knee. We talked about the show and discussed the prices. She thought they were disgraceful.”…
