To put it in easy to understand terms. The 8 means Cialis the image will appear 8 times larger. The 42 is how wide the view is so the larger the number the more you see. In other words you can look at a boat with an 8x35 and not see the whole boat at one glance but with an 8x50 you would be able to see the whole boat at one time. I'm not great at explaining things but the first number refers to magnification and the second number refers to width and height.
My personal preference is a 7x35 only because it's smaller and easier to carry than a 7x50.
