in 3 x 26, 3 is the magnification. or will make items appear 3 times closer than the naked eye. the 26 is the size of the far lens 26 millimeters. the larger the far lens the better field of vision, or the more of the scene that you see. hope this is helpful.

I'm going to see the Phantom of the Opera in the Pantages Theatre in Feb!
I got row Q seating 305 in the mezzlc section.
its that really far back? and is it a bad view from there?
